How Do I Attract Clients To My Law Practice With Ease?

The Alchemy of Client Attraction

Hanging up a law shingle is not enough.

Attracting clients requires a plan to generate leads for your services.

Many marketing strategies focus on the website or keywords. Or, law practices will pay small fortunes for leads, online marketing, or networking events that cost hugely in your time.

The Sobering Truth

From all my studying, at law school, or as a New York attorney or Barrister in London, it didn’t completely prepare me for practicing law.

Because none of it prepared me to open my own practice. I was left with trial and error - which is not a comfortable fit for a lawyer!

However, if you learn how to attract clients, you will know how to feed your practice for life.

You will side-step digital marketers who lock you into contracts and hide the ball on what they are doing or avoid paying for leads that seek only free advice, or lawyer-listing sites that provide little to no return.

The Game-Changer

In the old days, cold calls were the primary method to get a client.

Now, cold calling and networking are stressful for everyone - from the prospects themselves to lawyers who feel like used-car salespeople.

However, there are ways to quickly convert a stranger into a willing-paying client with proven systems.

It is simple to learn these systems. And even if you later hire someone for your marketing, it's important to "know how it works."

Our goal is to address this by empowering lawyers to take the reigns themselves. Because it's important to take the mystery out of rainmaking so you understand how it comes and how to turn it on.

How is it done?

One of the best methods for ease is an end-to-end method called a “funnel." The funnel compresses the buying stages of your prospect into a few clicks.

The funnel is the overall process that starts with specific ways to target leads and direct them to your website.

The vehicle for targeting leads is through two different strategies: organic and paid methods. Organic client acquisition is excellent, especially when starting, as there is zero cost. Whether you target individuals or businesses, Facebook and LinkedIn are free.

Once you have momentum, paid methods will help you to scale your business, including social media and traditional ads.

Then, the website captures those leads with a survey of pre-set questions. The survey gives you the insight to assess "lead quality" and how you can help them on a call, and either close them or politely part company. Never be afraid to break up with bad candidates.

The funnel ends with a link to your calendar for a 15-minute consultation. The appointment link will help keep your book of appointments full without dropping everything to take their call!
